Economy of the information sector and the theory of markets with asymmetric information are presented. It is a matter of two different sub-disciplines and two author clusters in economic sciences under the same name of information economics.
Social systems theories are always also the critiques of the systems themselves as well as the critiques of other theories of this kind. The information society is a global phenomenon with not only a technological, economic, professional, spatial, cultural and political dimension but also with the dimension of fast changes.

Studying the information behaviour, to which also user studies belong, represents the most fertile point of contact between information science and sociology, psychology and education science. According to their purpose user studies belong to the information science, according to their methods (questionnaire, interview, focus group) they belong to the named older social sciences.
The conception of translation and translating methods has been changing since Saint Jarome, though the general definition of translation as the transfer of message and its content in one language into another language remains valid. Erroneous perspectives concerning the role of translators can be disturbing to their work.
